Periodontitis

Periodontitis is a common oral health problem that affects the gums and supporting structures of the teeth. It is caused by bacteria that form plaque and tartar on the teeth and gum line. This leads to inflammation and infection of the gums, and if left untreated, it can lead to serious consequences, including tooth loss and other health problems.

At Beauty Center Istanbul, we offer effective treatment for periodontitis that can help restore the health of your gums and teeth. Our experienced dental team is dedicated to providing high-quality, personalized care to help our patients achieve optimal oral health.

The first step in treating periodontitis is a thorough dental examination and cleaning to remove plaque and tartar. Our dental professionals will use special instruments to clean deep below the gum line, removing harmful bacteria and reducing inflammation. This is followed by a scaling and root planing procedure, which removes plaque and tartar from the roots of the teeth and smooths the surfaces of the roots to help the gums reattach.

In some cases, medication may be necessary to control the infection and reduce inflammation. Our dental team may prescribe antibiotics or anti-inflammatory drugs to help manage the symptoms of periodontitis.

For more advanced cases of periodontitis, we may recommend surgical intervention. Our periodontist will evaluate the extent of the disease and determine the best surgical approach to treat it. Some common surgical procedures include flap surgery, bone grafts, and tissue regeneration.

In addition to these treatments, it’s important for patients to maintain good oral hygiene practices at home. This includes brushing and flossing regularly, visiting the dentist for regular check-ups and cleanings, and avoiding foods and drinks that can contribute to plaque and tartar build-up.

At Beauty Center Istanbul, we are committed to providing the best possible care for our patients. If you are experiencing symptoms of periodontitis, or if you simply want to maintain good oral health, please contact us to schedule a consultation with one of our dental professionals.
